Three Rules That Will Change Your Life Now

Three rules that will change your life

Do you feel as though you are stuck in a rut? Are you simply going through the motions day in and day out? Or are you generally unsatisfied with the direction that your life is going in?

I see most men being unceasingly unhappy, mostly because they fail to expand themselves. There’s nothing worse than that, it’s much like isolation, it leaves you empty inside.

Most men do not know what they want in life because they do not what is available. They also lack balance. But worst of all they lack fulfillment.

If you have been feeling anything like that, it is time for you to take control of your situation and to change your life. I’ve experienced that there are few key rules that you can follow to transform your life.

You do not have to continue in this vein any longer if you can just comprehend and implement these three specific set of rules in your life.

1. Change Your Mindset

“All you can do is change yourself, but that changes everything.”

Change is the law of life. Yet change is what scares people. Isn’t it ironical?

That’s the secret – change your mindset to change your life. Ask any successful individual and they will ask you to change your mindset.

What do motivational gurus do? They make you believe in you, that causes a mindset shift. Go to any blog and you will find many books in the recommended resources section. Why do you think bloggers do it? Reading fosters a growth mindset.

  • You can either have a buyers mindset or of a seller.

  • You can either have an employers mindset or of an employee.

Get my point? There’s no in between. You can either have a hunters mindset or of a scavenger. Life doesn’t get better by ‘Chance’ it gets better when you ‘Change’.

You become what you think. You are what you think. Your thought process, beliefs, attitudes, and experiences make up your mindset. Instead of being disturbed when you hear something that challenges your beliefs, immerse yourself into it. Read. Learning is enlightening, it creates a growth mindset environment.

Your mindset is an incredibly powerful thing. It can change not only your outlook on life but can also act as the catalyst for making a necessary adjustment to your existence.

  • Be self-aware, it’s everything.
  • Accept failure.
  • Understand that everything is possible and you are the creator of your universe.

What you become eventually will be a product of your vision and your thoughts. Change your mindset. Change your life.

2. Do What You Love

“You either do what people ask from you or you do what you want to do.”

As your mindset shifts, you know that the only person who is going to create change in your life is you. You know your first priority is you and your goal. You stop worrying about what others think or how they expect you to behave.

Instead of finding solace in temporary distractions, things and people, you start listening to your mind. You start doing things you always wanted to do. And you act.

The quote “do what you love and you will never work a day in your life” has been misattributed to several individuals. But the underlying sentiment remains the same.

You either spend your life moving papers for your boss just to get by, while questioning if there is more to life and doubting your abilities. Or you do what you love, what you are good at. Yes, you have to survive, yes you have to pay the bills. But you can do anything that you set your mind to.

If others have done it, you can do it too. Right? You can make a living doing what you love. It’s just a matter of taking that first step.

I know few people who have taken those scary steps towards their passion while having a full-time job. They are now living the life of their dreams. I have witnessed their growth.

I was another you. I have been through the lows of life. I’ve had a directionless life. But I always knew I was larger than life. And nothing good happened until I changed my mind.

I was more than overwhelmed when I stepped into the gym for the first time. It was a bit scary lifting those dumbells up. I questioned myself, but my desires were stronger than the fear.

I knew nothing about blogging, websites, WordPress, social media, SEO when I started LifestyleDen. All I did was write an 800-word article and that was it. I made a choice. Now I offer my services as an expert on these subjects. Did I question my abilities when I started this blog? No! I knew I had no other choice.

When I was a child I always dreamed of being a motivational guru, I always wanted a great body. In college, I knew I wanted to be financially free. I am on the right path. I know it. I am getting results that I always wanted. It’s a beautiful feeling. I’m unstoppable now. The best part – it’s just the beginning.

  • What did you want to be when you grew up? What do you want to do now?
  • What gets you excited? Is there something you can talk about all day?
  • What will you be willing to do for free? What gives you extra energy?
  • What gives you extra energy? Does it make you smile?

When you know what is right for you and you act on it, you create the life that you love. It can literally change your life. You might not realize how profound impact this might have on your career and your life.

I don’t know a single trainer in the gym who isn’t content. They may be facing problems in their lives but they come to work with a big smile. I see them smiling when they lift those dumbbells and it’s not just the serotonin. They are delighted when they make a difference to their client’s life.

When you do what you love you live life in fifth gear, work becomes fun. You experience freedom and you know that there are no boundaries. You know sky is the limit.

Of course, not everyone can manage to find a job that they are enamored with. In circumstances like that, you should dedicate your spare time to doing things that make you happy and give you the most pleasure.

Life is too short to only be embroiled in meaningless, unpleasant tasks.

3. Stay Consistent

“It’s not what you do once in a while that shapes your life. It’s what you do consistently that shapes your life.”

So what exactly is consistency?

Consistency is reading, experimenting, failing, more reading, and improvising.

Do you hit the gym 5 days a week or you are a weekend warrior? Small disciplines repeated with consistency lead to great achievements over time. Consistency is character.

I see a lot of men tend to forget the significance of being consistent. It takes hours and hours of consistent work to accomplish anything, to become great.

The first rule of achieving anything in life is consistency. You need to be consistent to sculpt a great body. You need to hit the gym 6 days a week, you need to stick with the diet 7 days a week.

It takes years to sculpt a great body. It takes years to become a successful blogger. Nothing good in life comes easy.

It is easy to get caught up and miss those gym sessions. But each session done in the gym builds your fitness bank account.

You can think of training as your supercharged 401k for your health. You reap what you sow. What you do today is what you get tomorrow.

Even if I am not able to write a blog post I am still active on Instagram. I know every little action counts. It all adds up to achieve success in one form or other.

Consistency builds momentum – in whatever it is that you do. Eat healthy, exercise regularly, and work on your project every day.

Yes, you can literally change the course of your life today by adopting these three rules. That’s how I began. It might take a year, maybe 2 years, maybe 5 years but if you have strong enough desire to live life on your own terms you can do it.

I believe in you, if you believe in yourself.
